Inspiring and supporting families with a hands-on home and community care approach

Become a Certified GAPS Coach and work closely with GAPS families and individuals to support them to navigate their own GAPS journey within the home. Work in partnership with Certified GAPS Practitioners to assist in the successful delivery of the GAPS Protocol within the GAPS community.

We are very excited to introduce this new course for individuals working in associated health care positions or for people who have successfully implemented the GAPS Program and are passionate about supporting others on this great GAPS healing journey. We currently have over 2000 Certified GAPS Practitioners who professionally treat GAPS Patients however what is missing is the hands-on approach for families and individuals who need additional support within the home and this level of support is in high demand.

Who is this course for?

Key Entry Criteria:  The Certified GAPS Coach course is open to the following interested applicants.

  1. People who have experience in working in the health field such as pharmacists, massage therapists, social workers, psychologists, personal trainers, health coaches etc., etc or
  2. People who have effectively implemented the GAPS protocol themselves and who have a strong desire to support families with a direct-hands on home and community care approach.

What is the role of the GAPS Coach?

Certified GAPS Coach’s are considered by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride to be a highly valued support to GAPS families within their own home and to the wider GAPS community.  This direct hands on role will assist families to organise their kitchen, teach them where to shop and what to cook and in some situations cook food for individuals who are unwell and unable to do it for themselves.  The Certified GAPS Coach will also have the necessary skills to facilitate direct hands on support to parents of children who are autistic or have a developmental disorder in managing the early stages of the Introduction Diet and guide parents through a Mealtime Management Program for children who are fussy eaters.  The community component to this role allows the GAPS Coach to work closely with Certified GAPS Practitioners in the delivery of GAPS Support groups and workshops.  Many GAPS Practitioners and GAPS Clinics are seeking to include a Certified GAPS Coach on their team.

Hands on home care:

  • Coaching & cooking GAPS meals and fermented foods with families and individuals embarking on the diet
  • Meal planning
  • Shopping and cooking GAPS Food and freezing them for people who are not ambulant
  • Advising on detox baths, personal care and bowel management
  • Advising on local resources, shops and supplies
  • Supporting parents to implement mealtime management strategies  for children who are fussy eaters
  • Advising on strategies to avoid or reduce the effects of die off during detox
  • Advising on managing constipation and diarrhoea

Collaboratively work with a network of GAPS Practitioners:

  • Referral basis for hands on home care with GAPS families
  • Running Community GAPS Support Groups & Workshops
  • Liaising with practitioners as needed

The Coach Training tuition investment for the 12-15 week, 90+ hours, online-only course is $2,450USD. Payment installments are available. 6-month financing is also available through PayPal Credit (financed amount less a required deposit) to hold your space in the Coach Training.
