What is the role of the GAPS Coach?

Certified GAPS Coach’s are considered by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride to be a highly valued support to GAPS families within their own home and to the wider GAPS community.  This direct hands on role will assist families to organise their kitchen, teach them where to shop and what to cook and in some situations cook food for individuals who are unwell and unable to do it for themselves.  The Certified GAPS Coach will also have the necessary skills to facilitate direct hands on support to parents of children who are autistic or have a developmental disorder in managing the early stages of the Introduction Diet and guide parents through a Mealtime Management Program for children who are fussy eaters.  The community component to this role allows the GAPS Coach to work closely with Certified GAPS Practitioners in the delivery of GAPS Support groups and workshops.  Many GAPS Practitioners and GAPS Clinics are seeking to include a Certified GAPS Coach on their team.
